General Description and Objectives

The Sales Account Manager’s primary responsibility is to focus and grow their assigned book of business and develop a plan to capture new Bedford Paper branded customers. This position will understand how the Bedford Paper Brand fits within the industry, manage existing customers and attract new customers. Working with the Bedford Paper Sales associates, understand and provide support for our customer base and continue to develop each relationship. The use of technical communication through virtual enhancements are vital to the success of this position. An effective individual will understand what motivates customers to buy and know how to tap into those needs.

Primary Responsibilities

  • · Builds Bedford Paper brand contacts and establishes point of contact relationships with assigned book of business
  • · Customer analysis to assist in defining targeted market research for development of new branded customers.
  • · Creates competitive and detailed customer quotes
  • · Timely communicates with assigned Bedford Paper brand customers throughout the quoting process to assess the quality of our company's relationship
  • · Manages customer forecasts and works closely with any foreseeable trends
  • · Strong ability to prepare customer presentations and deliver company driven objectives via in person and virtual communications
  • · Meets with customers to discuss their current performance, evaluate their evolving needs, manage conflict, and work to increase product mix and YOY growth
  • · Maintains professional, technical knowledge and networking capabilities.
  • · Effective and knowledgeable communicator with customer service, our product line and the company capabilities.
  • · Efficiently documents customer communications and records timely in the CRM program
  • · Supports day to day customer administrative tasks as needed
  • · All other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • · Must be 18 years or older.
  • · Must have high school diploma, or G.E.D.
  • · Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year of sales experience in the towel and tissue industry.
  • · Positive attitude with a solid team mentality.
  • · Strong attention to detail with the ability to efficiently manage time and meet deadlines.
  • · Strong relationship building/persuasive abilities.
  • · Excellent computer skills to develop presentations; proficiency in Microsoft Office Software, CRM and ERP systems
  • · Strong technical skills to manage virtual communications.
  • · Ease of public speaking and leading presentation.
  • · Timely responses to customer inquiries and concerns by phone, electronically or in person.
  • · Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written to work effectively within all levels of the organization.
  • · Ability to work well and manage time in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • · Strong work ethic with an exceptional ability to learn and desire to continuously improve.
  • · Able to embrace change, possess strong interpersonal skills and have the ability to efficiently balance multiple projects.
  • · Aptitude for hands on work and proficient in trouble shooting.
  • · Reliable with a great attendance record and work history.
  • · Ability to work a flexible schedule when needed.
  • · Prolonged periods standing or sitting at a desk working on a computer.
  • · Ability to travel up to 5%-10% of the time.
  • · Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • · Adhere to all safety standards.
  • · Pre-employment drug screening and background check required.
